Digital File Preferences
Digital File Preferences is a configuration page in the admin area that allows a store owner to configure the parameters that dictate behaviors related to delivery of digital products.
Typically, this is a one-time configuration page. After it is configured once, the settings here are rarely revisited.

Folder Settings
- Customers using the NeuCart Hosted option do not see these settings.
This section includes the folder paths where:
- Files are stored.
- Files are moved during the download process prior to being streamed to the customer's browser.
Email Settings
- NeuCart recommends that files are not distributed to customers via email. Consider using the digital file settings instead.
The settings in this section are used primarily to configure the properties of emails that are sent to customers with the file attached: the "from" address, the email subject, and the email body.
Downloadable File Settings
Settings in this section determine behavior related to the customer-facing product download page and download security. For example, this section includes the options that determine how many times a customer may attempt to download a product, and how long the download link is active.
