PayPal
PayPal is one of the world's largest internet payment companies; the term "PayPal" also generally refers to the payment type itself, as in this store accepts PayPal. NeuCart stores accept PayPal as one of the default payment methods, and it is probably the most popular payment type used by NeuCart stores.

PayPal payment types
There are three different ways PayPal is used: PayPal Payments Standard, PayPal Express, and PayPal Payments Pro.
PayPal Payments Standard
PayPal Payments Standard is the default payment method that takes very little effort to set up. When this is used, a customer reaches the checkout page of the store and enters the relevant address/contact information, and then the customer clicks "Pay at PayPal" to complete the transaction. PayPal then creates an IPN message that is sent to the store to generate the order.
PayPal Express
- Main article: PayPal Express
PayPal Express is a payment method that still uses PayPal as the payment source, but the steps to complete a transaction are different. With PayPal Express, a user clicks the option to "Pay with PayPal Express", which takes the user to PayPal, where the address information is obtained, and then the user is taken back to the store to complete checkout. (This is "express" because the customer doesn't have to type the address.)
Unlike PayPal Payments Standard, PayPal Express takes a few steps to configure, involving generation of API Keys at PayPal and plugging those values in to PayPal Preferences in the NeuCart configuration.
PayPal Payments Pro
- Main article: PayPal Payments Pro
PayPal Payments Pro is not an option that customers see during checkout. PayPal Payments Pro is actually one of the credit card processor available within NeuCart.
